Huawei AppGallery Screenshot Size (2026): 1080×1920, 3–10 Images, Up to 5MB
The short answer
Huawei's developer doc “Visual asset specifications” (Chinese; updated 2026-10-09, checked by us on 2026-10-22) lists these phone screenshot rules for HarmonyOS apps:

In short: make Huawei AppGallery phone screenshots at 1080 × 1920, upload 3–10, each PNG/JPG up to 5 MB.
For overseas developers: Huawei AppGallery is Huawei's app store, and HarmonyOS is Huawei's operating system. Apps are managed in AppGallery Connect.
Why the numbers online don't match
Search for Huawei AppGallery screenshot sizes and you'll see 450 × 800 portrait / 800 × 450 landscape, 3–5 images, 2 MB each. Those come from older docs or secondhand articles and don't match the current phone screenshot rules in Huawei's spec.

Rules change, so follow the live validation in AppGallery Connect when you upload.

The same doc splits HarmonyOS app assets by device type:

WEBP files can't be animated on any device.
Icon and video
The phone table also lists:
- App icon (required): 1 image, 216 × 216 or 1024 × 1024, PNG up to 3 MB (WEBP up to 100 KB), square.
- Intro video (optional): 1280 × 720 landscape or 720 × 1280 portrait, 1–3 videos, MOV/MP4 up to 500 MB, 15 seconds to 2 minutes.
Huawei notes that within one device type, the intro video and screenshots must use the same orientation. Portrait screenshots mean a portrait video.
How to make them
- In the screenshot maker, pick the HarmonyOS preset (1080 × 1920) and lay out 3–10 screens.
- Use real UI, a solid or gradient background, and a short caption.
- Skip iPhone or other-brand device frames and show your real app UI.
- Keep each file under 5 MB. Use compress if needed.
- Check sizes and formats locally with the screenshot checker.

FAQ
What's the maximum file size? Phone screenshots: PNG/JPG/JPEG up to 5 MB each; WEBP up to 200 KB. Watch and Vision are stricter at 2 MB / 100 KB.
How many screenshots can I upload? Phone, tablet and PC/2-in-1: 3–10. Watch: 4–8. Vision: 5–8.
Is 450 × 800 still OK? The current spec lists 1080 × 1920 (1920 × 1080 landscape) for phone screenshots. Build at that size and follow the console's validation.
Do Android APK apps follow the same spec? The spec we checked covers HarmonyOS apps and atomic services and doesn't list separate rules for Android apps. For an Android app, follow the AppGallery Connect upload prompts.
