Design & features
Huang Lingdong Qiji is sourced from Ming-dynasty woodblock books printed by the Ling and Min families and produced with semi-automatic computer vision and OCR. It has a strong calligraphic character, more rhythm than a standard Mincho, and natural mottled texture in every glyph.
It contains 21,236 characters and comes in two versions: Combo (the faithful revival) and Fallback.
Best uses
We recommend Huang Lingdong Qiji for refreshing heritage brands, Spring Festival couplets and greeting cards and festival and solar-term designs. Use calligraphic fonts for titles or short text only, and leave plenty of white space.
