Honglei Banshu was written by Mr Honglei on a drawing tablet, growing out of his practice copying the Thousand Character Classic. Its forms are graceful and expansive, grand and full of classical flavour.

Honglei Banshu shows its personality best in retro and nostalgic themes, Chinese-style posters and festival and solar-term designs. The bigger the size, the more brush detail shows; at small sizes it can turn muddy.
