Design & features
I.Ming evolved from Kokuseki Mincho and follows the Inherited Glyph Component Checklist to respect the logic of character construction. Stroke ends are cut at clean angles—especially in sweeps—making it crisper than a traditional Song; its Simplified characters use inherited (old-style) forms.
Version 7.00 includes 6,866 Traditional and 6,763 Simplified characters, plus Japanese/Korean hanzi, Zhuyin and Suzhou numerals; the package has I.Ming, I.MingCP (centred full-width punctuation) and I.MingVar variants.
Best uses
Stylistically, I.Ming works well for retro and nostalgic themes, packaging for literary-style brands and book and magazine pages. For titles, scale it up and open the tracking for an editorial feel.
