Design & features
Swei Meatball was created by Taiwanese designer MAX from Source Han Serif by replacing its triangular serifs with semicircles. Sharp strokes with round endings let it hover between classical and cute, ideal when you want a hint of vintage without losing legibility.
It supports Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean and Japanese, with the same 7 weights as Source Han Serif and practically no missing characters.
Best uses
We recommend Swei Meatball for kids and pet themes, book and magazine pages and tea-house and restaurant menus. Serif horizontals are thin, so on screen keep it at 14px or larger; it really shines in print.
