About Song / Mincho fonts
Song (called Mincho in Japan) pairs thin horizontals with thick verticals and triangular serifs, the traditional choice for books and newspapers. Here you will find long-reading faces such as Source Han Serif VF, I.Ming and Dinglie Songke alongside creative, distressed takes like Soukou Mincho and Genkai Mincho. Song looks most refined in print; on screen, avoid very small sizes so the thin horizontals stay visible.
