Design & features
HarmonyOS Sans is Huawei's default system typeface for HarmonyOS, designed around different device sizes, viewing distances and angles. Short strokes are straight and unadorned while long sweeps and hooks borrow calligraphic movement; joins were cleaned up for variable interpolation and the overall typographic colour tuned.
It adds Thin, Light, Bold and Black weights, and its Latin letters use pure geometric shapes with wide apertures.
Best uses
We recommend HarmonyOS Sans for gaming and esports visuals, small labels and captions and supporting text on app screenshots. At small sizes, a bit of extra tracking helps legibility more than going bolder.
