Design & features

PMZD Xixian has nearly square glyphs with large counters and small rounded corners that feel precise yet friendly. Its face fills about 90% of the em, the visual centre sits slightly above the middle, and stroke colour was tuned for headlines at 14pt and up, keeping main strokes in dense characters for even white space.

Latin ascenders and descenders are balanced to minimise height differences in mixed Chinese–Latin text.

Best uses

Stylistically, PMZD Xixian works well for short-video cover titles, live-stream overlays and headline captions on app screenshots. On app store screenshots, keep the headline to 6–10 characters per line so it reads in thumbnails.
