Design & features

Moon Stars Kai was made by GuiWonder from Klee One, combined with LXGW WenKai TC, LXGW WenKai and Iansui and modelled on a Ming-dynasty printing of the Hongwu Zhengyun, giving it old-style and archaic forms. Strokes are neat and even, square yet soft, with a scholarly air.

Some glyph forms are rare in modern writing but common in calligraphy copybooks.

Best uses

If you are working on refreshing heritage brands or Spring Festival couplets and greeting cards, Moon Stars Kai is an easy pick, and it is also worth trying for tea, liquor and cultural-product packaging. Combine it with seals, paper textures and other traditional elements to set the mood.
