Google Play Screenshot Maker
Build Play Store screenshots to official specs: 1080×1920 preset, full-bleed PNG — all in the browser.
Play Console has strict screenshot specs. Here’s the official bar, then how to use our screenshot maker to export compliant Google Play shots in the browser.
Hard requirements for phone screenshots
- At least 2 and at most 8 per device type.
- JPEG or 24-bit PNG — no alpha transparency.
- Short edge ≥ 320px; long edge ≤ 3840px.
- Long edge must not exceed 2× the short edge.
Recommended for featuring
Google strongly suggests ≥4 screenshots at ≥1080px; portrait 9:16 min 1080×1920, landscape 16:9 min 1920×1080. Put the best UI in the first 3; keep promo text ≤20%; skip device frames and Play badges; clean status bars.
Workflow with our preset
- Open the screenshot maker and pick the Google Play / 1080×1920 preset.
- Upload up to 5 shots with short titles; set border width to 0 if you want no device look.
- Download screenshots.zip and upload to Play Console.
For landscape, use custom size 1920×1080. Need 6–8 shots? Make two batches.
FAQ
How many Google Play screenshots do I need?
At least 2 and at most 8 per device type. For large-format recommendation eligibility, Google suggests at least 4 shots at 1080px or higher.
Can screenshots be transparent PNGs?
No. Use JPEG or 24-bit PNG without alpha. Our exporter fills the canvas so exports are not transparent.
Is 1080×1920 OK?
Yes. It is 9:16, long edge 1920 ≤ 3840, and within the 2× short-edge rule — Google’s recommended minimum portrait size.
Can I put marketing copy on screenshots?
Yes, sparingly. Keep promo text under ~20% of the image and avoid “best”, “#1”, “download now” style claims.
