Design & features

Sligoil is a monospaced typeface designed by Paris-based art director and illustrator Ariel Martín Pérez for the interface of a Godolphin Games title; the name comes from an evil fictional corporation in the game.

It supports Latin-based European languages with a range of symbols and alternates (including upright italics), and shines at small sizes (10–12px) on dark backgrounds.

Best uses

We recommend Sligoil for interfaces for long reading, English UI on web and apps and English poster headlines. When mixing with Chinese, nudge the Latin size up slightly so its visual height matches.

FAQ

Can I use Sligoil commercially for free?

Released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; free for personal and commercial use. Terms can change between versions, so double-check the official notice before commercial release.

Does Sligoil support Chinese?

No. Sligoil is a Latin typeface without Chinese characters, so pair it with a Chinese font for any Chinese text—Glow Sans on this site is one option.

Can I use Sligoil for long passages?

It works for English text but has no Chinese characters. In mixed layouts, set Chinese in Glow Sans and fine-tune sizes and baselines.

How do I use Sligoil in Photoshop or Figma?

Download the files from the Netdisk link and unzip them, then drag the files into your system fonts folder, or double-click and install. Restart your design app and search for "Sligoil Micro" in the font list. Figma in the browser needs the Figma font installer to read local fonts.
