Design & features

Ouroboros, named after the snake eating its own tail, was designed by Ariel Martín Pérez and inspired by early Art Nouveau, blending alchemical and astronomical symbolism into its letters. Its serifs are distinctive, its face looks larger than most at the same size, and it holds a subtle diagonal balance.

After installation it appears as "Ouroboros Regular".

Best uses

Ouroboros shines in English UI on web and apps and English accents on packaging, and is a good fit for English captions on app screenshots too. For English headlines, try all caps with a little extra tracking.

Pairing ideas

Fonts on this site that pair well with Ouroboros:

  • Glow Sans (未来荧黑) — a neutral face that stays clear at small sizes, ideal for body and supporting text
