Like Mengshen Pinyin, Mengshen Handwritten is an educational pinyin font that shows pinyin above each character. It is cute and rounded with slim, clear strokes, and Unicode IVS lets you switch readings for polyphonic characters. It was first shown at Maker Faire Shenzhen in 2017.

It includes Japanese, Simplified and Traditional characters.

Best uses

Stylistically, Mengshen Handwritten works well for literacy and pinyin materials, greeting cards and notes and café and dessert menus. Pair it with a neat sans-serif: one carries the mood, the other carries the information.
