Design & features
LXGW Marker Gothic was created by designer Guwu from Tanugo Kaku as a marker-pen-style Chinese font. Strokes are straight, turns are hard angles instead of curves, and horizontals are thinner than verticals, giving a clear marker texture.
Building on the original JIS level 1 and 2 kanji, it adds Simplified counterparts of the Traditional characters and the 3,500 most common characters.
Best uses
LXGW Marker Gothic shows its personality best in variety-show captions, event poster headlines and brand slogans. Avoid long paragraphs; titles, short phrases and numbers are where it does its best work.
