Tip: some portals want the PEM headers/newlines stripped from the public key.

What is MD5 / SHA1 here?

MD5 (Message Digest Algorithm 5) is a common hash used to verify file integrity. For HarmonyOS filing you typically need the MD5/SHA1 fingerprint and public key from your release .cer certificate.

  • HarmonyOS filing usually asks for SHA1 and the public key
  • All parsing runs entirely in your local browser

What this tool does

For HarmonyOS filing: drop a .cer/.crt/.pem release cert from AppGallery Connect to get MD5, SHA1, SHA256, and public key. Certificate chains use the last (entity) cert. Parsed with node-forge in the browser.

How to use

  1. Download your release cert from Huawei Certificate Management.
  2. Drop the .cer here.
  3. Copy MD5/SHA1/public key into the filing form.

FAQ

Why not .p12?

We only parse public X.509 certs — use the matching .cer, not the private key bag.

Is the cert uploaded?

No — read and hashed locally.
