What this tool does

Drawnix is an open-source infinite canvas for mind maps, flowcharts, freehand drawing, shapes, and text. It runs entirely in your browser here; board data is saved with localforage (IndexedDB / localStorage) and is never uploaded.

How to use

  1. Open the page and start drawing; a short tutorial appears on first visit.
  2. Use the toolbar for select, hand, mind map, shapes, arrows, pen, and more.
  3. Open/save files or export PNG/SVG/JPG from the menu; refresh restores the last local board.

FAQ

Is board data uploaded?

No. It stays in your browser storage only. Our servers never receive canvas contents.

What if I clear site data or switch devices?

Local boards do not sync across devices. Export a backup from the menu before clearing storage.

Mobile support?

Touch works, but complex editing is better on desktop; some tools collapse on small screens.

Open-source credits?

Built on Drawnix (MIT, https://github.com/plait-board/drawnix) and the Plait framework (MIT, https://github.com/worktile/plait). Related deps are MIT or Apache-2.0 — no AGPL/GPL stack.

Difference from drawnix.com?

Same core board. Here it lives inside AppShotMaker’s toolbox with site locale synced into the board UI; still fully local.
